By Curley's wife, we can understand a description of a victim of the poor treatment of woman. In the 1930's woman were treated very badly and unfairly. And Steinbeck wants to show women's weakness and men's attitude to women, so that in the book, "OF MICE AND MEN,” he describes women's feelings and actions; loneliness and companionship by creating a character who is Curley's wife. It is because she is a symbol of 1930's women; she does not have her own name. People become villains when they realize their circumstances. In the book, “OF MICE AND MEN,” whole people ignore and keep away from her, even when Curley's wife just wants to talk. For example, “You gotta husban’. You got no call foolin’ around’ with other guys, causin’ trouble.” Candy said to Curley's wife solecistically, so that she left Crook’s room. Because Candy thinks, Curley's wife is a villain. It is a kind of warning that do not interrupt them or you will makes them mess. Moreover, Crooks thinks too. "Well, you keep your place then, Nigger. I could get you strung up on a tree so easy it ain't even funny.” Curley's wife intimidated Crooks so that she shows him she has a power to quit him. Therefore, she can join there conversation. More specifically, when Curley's wife came to Crooks’ room, Crooks did not let her get in, and also Candy did. It is because they tried to ignore and keep away from her; even she just wanted to talk. Therefore, she got angry and she intimidated to Crooks that she can fire him easily, so that she can get into talk. That is only way that she can have conversation with other people. The only way Curley's wife can have conversation is, use her power and intimidate other people who do not want her join their conversation. In the 1930's, women were not useful. In the book, when men were talking about Curley's wife, they made fun with her very impolitely. Which was “she’s gonna make a mess. They’s gonna be a mess about her. She’s a jailbait all set on the trigger. That Curley got his work cut for him. Ranch with a bunch of guys on it ain’t no place for a girl, specially like her.” This is George’s speech, and it shows that he really hates Curley's wife. In addition, this quote shows sexual discrimination; Ranch with a bunch of people on it is not a place for a girl. George is not only criticizing Curley's wife, but also women. So, it shows how they (men) think about women. The result, they think women are useless. People in ranch think Curley's wife is a troublemaker. Curley's wife is not a villain but victim. Even though Curley's wife is a poor and feels lonely, everybody ignores her. Also her life was ruined by Curley. "I don' like Curley. He ain't a nice fella”...”Coulda been in the movies, an’ had nice clothes…When they had them previews I coulda went to them, an' spoke in the radio, an' it wouldn't a cost me a cent because I was in the pitcher. An' all them nice clothes like those that they wear. Because this guy says I was a natural." This is a speech from Curley’s wife to Lennie. Besides she did not like her marriage, Curley made her a loner. Therefore she started criticize her circumstance. Because she did not know how to resolve her loneliness, she acted like a villain to people. Actually, she wanted to be an actor, but in 1930's, women cannot get any jobs, especially jobs that are striking. But a man told that she could be a famous actress, but by disturbance, she couldn't get any contact. Then, under coercion, she married a man, Curley. She did not love him. In addition, after the marriage Curley kept her in the house, so that she cannot talk to anyone. Finally, loneliness made her acted like a villain. It was a victim mentality. However, no one helped her. Therefore, she had a tragic death. And this shows women's lives who was in 1930's. She was unsuccessful in achieving her goal. Consequently, she acts like a villain. To conclude, every people need someone to talk, so that they can understand and care their hurts. Nobody is the out of the ordinary one. Include villains. Therefore, people need to be looked through their inside. It is because they are different from what they look.

People become villains when they realize their circumstances. In the book, “OF MICE AND MEN”, whole people ignore and keep away from her, even Curley's wife just wants to talk. Therefore, she can join there conversation.(what’s the meaning of this sentence? Maybe you can make this sentence easier to let reader understand.) More specifically, when Curley's wife came to Crook’s room, Crook did not let her get in and Candy did. Because they tried to ignore and keep away from her, even she just wanted to talk. Therefore, she got angry and she intimidated Crook that she can fire him easily. So that she can get into talk. That is only way that she can have conversation with other people. In addition, this quote shows sexual discrimination; Ranch with a bunch of people on it is not a place for a girl. George is not only criticizing Curley's wife, but also women.(this sentence was powerful. I like this!!) So, it shows how they (men) think about women. The result, they think women are useless. People in ranch think Curley's wife is a troublemaker.
Curley's wife is not a villain but victim. Even though Curley's wife is a poor and feels lonely, everybody ignores her. Also her life was ruined by Curley. "I don' like Curley. In my opinion Chris, I think I can exactly know what you want to describe, however here is my advices. (You can ignore this… HAHAHA) - first sentence is good and point of the topic - you’d better have ………………………transition to connect you first paragraph and you supporting idea,
People become villains when they realize their circumstances. In the book, “OF MICE AND MEN”, whole people ignore and keep away from her, even Curley's wife just wants to talk. For example, “You gotta husban’. You got no call foolin’ around’ with other guys, causin’ trouble.” Candy said to Curley's wife solecistically, so that she left Crook’s room. -I’m not sure I can understand you supporting idea exactly. Is that Curley’s wife only use she’s power to join the conversation when she wanted to talk? And you list some quotes. Those are show people in the ranch avoid to connect with Curley’s wife, even through talk with her?

Because of he mad me about I always interrupt him when he played something stupid. The last sentence he told me is: Yvonne, you are a damn troublemaker!

In addition, this quote shows sexual discrimination; Ranch with a bunch of people on it is not a place for a girl. George is not only criticizing Curley's wife, but also women.(this sentence was powerful. I like this!!) So, it shows how they (men) think about women. The result, they think women are useless. (Maybe you can emphasize more that Curley’s wife was under the coercion so that she cannot do anything she want.)
Therefore, she had a tragic death. And this shows women's lives who was in 1930's. She was unsuccessful in achieving her goal. Consequently, she acts like a villain.

(I think you should add your supporting idea into the conclusion)

In my opinion Chris, I think I can exactly know what you want to describe, however here is my advices. (You can ignore this… HAHAHA)
- first sentence is good and point of the topic
- you’d better have ………………………transition to connect you first paragraph and you supporting idea,
People become villains when they realize their circumstances. Because Candy thinks, Curley's wife is a villain. It is a kind of warning that do not interrupt them or you will makes them mess. Moreover, Crook thinks too. "Well, you keep your place then, Nigger. The only way Curley's wife can have conversation is, use her power and intimidate other people who do not want her join their conversation.
-I’m not sure I can understand you supporting idea exactly. Is that Curley’s wife only use she’s power to join the conversation when she wanted to talk? And you list some quotes. Those are show people in the ranch avoid to connect with Curley’s wife, even through talk with her?
In the 1930's, women were not useful. In the book, when men were talking about Curley's wife, they made fun with her, very impolitely. Which was “she’s gonna make a mess. The last sentence he told me is: Yvonne, you are a damn troublemaker!
